Hello @Arnied and welcome to the Community. All wrist worn fitness trackers can give false steps. Not every arm movement has a leg movement with it. If you wear your Fitbit on your non-dominant wrist, you can reduce these false steps by changing the wrist setting to dominant. My first Fitbit was the clip-on Fitbit One. I saw the same thing when I bought my first wrist Fitbit. If you wear your Fitbit on your dominant wrist, then there is nothing you can change to help with this.
You Fitbit generally won't count steps when pushing a cart or stroller. So keep that in mind.
