Tips to efficiently using Charge 6 GPS

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my Fitbit Charge 6 to track my walks with GPS. Initially, I used the built-in GPS on the Charge 6, but I noticed it drained the battery quite a lot. Recently, I switched to using my phone’s GPS instead, which does help preserve my Charge 6’s battery.

However, I’ve run into another issue. To use my phone’s GPS for tracking, I need to keep my phone’s GPS on constantly. If the GPS turns off (especially if the Fitbit app is closed), it won’t track my activity properly. This keeps my phone’s battery draining, so I’m trading one problem for another.

Does anyone have any tips or a smart way to manage this so I can save both my phone’s and Charge 6’s battery? I’d appreciate any advice or tricks on how to make both devices last a little longer during walks!

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Pratiks.in.

Thanks for letting me know your doubt in regards to the built in GPS of your Charge 6 and how to use it properly.

When this option is active, it is normal that your Charge 6 consumes more battery than it normally does, however, if your battery lasts only 1 day for example, this is not a normal behavior, can you confirm how long does it take for the battery to completely drain?
