Unable to use find my Phone on Charge 6

My Charge 6 Find my Phone feature isn’t working (even though it did earlier today).  Why did it quit working?

I'm not sure if it's the case for the OP or not. Usually it comes down to issues with the phone killing the Fitbit apps background processes. So it's advised that the user whitelists the Fitbit app from the phones battery/power management settings to prevent this from happening.

Just purchased Charge 6.  The "Find My Phone" only works (i.e. phone rings) if the Fitbit App is open.  If the Fitbit App isn't open, it searches and the phone doesn't ring.  Any assistance appreciated.

I have spent a significant amount of time with customer support both on the phone and chat afterwards when everything the phone help guided me through didn't work. My case number from the call is 52084284. Is it because it's an Iphone and not a Google phone. I upgraded to the 6 mainly because of the Find Phone option. I still have time to return it if it can't be resolved. Please let me know if it's unsolvable. Obviously only haing it work if in the app or right after syncing makes no sense. Thank you! I really want it to work🤞🏻🙏.

I'm having an issue with the same feature. Just bought my dad one. Opened it today and tried to show him how he can find his phone and its Not working .. blue tooth is on.

Find your iPhone does not work and it looks like an issue that's NOT Resolved.

fitbit would have posted it here or put out instructions.

My find my phone does properly work. 

• This is with android, don't know how much different iOS may be 
• The app needs permission to run in the background. 
• The user interface does not need to be open 
• If I stop the app through settings, the find phone will not work. 
• On iOS if you regularly swipe the apps off of the screen, the find phone will not work. 
• Turning off Bluetooth on the phone is also a no-no
