I never drank to kool-aid and upgraded my firmware on C5 , no matter how many times G said it was safe. It’s been now 3 years. My C5 had little less battery life and sometimes the face is sluggish. After commenting for many years on the benefits of NOT upgrading the firmware … I see we are in the same time/warp problem denial by G with the C6. Am I wrong on this ??

Hello @bobdob
Actually, there is a way to report issues via the Feedback option in the Fitbit app.
Tap on your picture/icon in the upper right of the Today page and select Feedback. Complete the info and submit.
Although you likely won't get a response, the team receives and reviews the feedback reports.

When you first buy a new tracker it will automatically update to the latest firmware. I upgrade to latest Fw well my tracker under warranty but once out of warranty I’m more worried too update if tracker working properly. Now you are having issues with the charge 5 a firmware upgrade could help refresh the tracker but it is risky on an old tracker with an old battery. A charge 6 is a good upgrade and if you can buy well on a deal it’s worth it. Just a side note all new Fitbit trackers require you to transfer your Fitbit account to a google account but nothing really changes just your login details. This can be done in Fitbit app settings “move account”

Thanks for the reply but from what I have read on this forum a lot of the same C5 problems still exist with the C6. I do agree with upgrading firmware in warranty vs out of warranty. No issues with the product … when it works as advertised.

Some people have reported problems with the latest update - obviously you can read them here. I did not have problems myself, but I also do see one of the bugs I noticed is not fixed (battery level not correctly reported and drifts further the longer you go without a restart) which is kind of disappointing since there seems to be no way to report things like this and get them fixed.

Tks … RiekoC … I have commented many times and provided feedback … if the developers don’t know that there are issues with both the C5 and C6 then G has bigger problems 🤑
