Vibration alerts, how to disable?

ANSWERED

I have looked and looked in the settings, nowhere can I find how to permanently turn off vibration alerts for 300 steps? Or when my Fitbit thinks I've gone up 300 steps, when the alert goes off I have probably done over 1000 by then!

Also when walking, every 1000 metres? Or something like that it also vibrates.

I can turn these off daily, but not found how to permanently turn off!

Hello @SteUK

Have you checked Notifications under Fitbit app settings? There's one for notifying you when you've reached certain percentages of your step goal.

To check:

  • Tap on your picture (Android) / gear icon (iOS) in the upper right of the Today page
  • Tap on Fitbit settings
  • Tap on Notifications
  • Under Push Notifications, turn off Step Goal Milestones if it is turned on (I believe this is turned on by default)

Hopefully, this will disable the step notifications that you want to turn off.

All push notifications are turned off and always have been turned off....it's vibrating even more now! Then ever, so annoying

This doesn’t work. I’m so aggravated since the last software update that I’m looking for a different brand of tracker.

This simply does not work. I went to my profile> Fitbit settings> push notifications> then turned everything off. I still get good job and zone minute alerts throughout the day. If this isn't resolved I will be moving to a different brand. I have tried to set my daily goals to zero and that is not allowed.

Despite all the misinformation on this site, DND mode is the only way to actually suppress these.
