Support auto tracking of exercise activities of less than 10 minutes. My old tracker did this - why is it not on my Charge 6? This is even more important now that we see the benefits of even short bursts of activiites.

I am disabled and have severe issues with my lungs. Three of my doctors and my physical therapist all told me I can only do five minutes of strenuous activity at a time, however Fitbit only registers exercise if it's over ten minutes. I think my doctors know more than Fitbit.

@Molo_Lolo  If you use the Exercise App instead of relying on auto-recognition, Fitbit will register any length of time you do.

Please add the option to remove the 10min threshold for activity minutes in the activity zones to be counted. This is based on the WHO Recommendation: "WHO guidelines on physical activity and sedentary behaviour" - Page 36

Just to add the exact quote: "There is moderate certainty evidence that physical activity of any duration is associated with improved health outcomes, and prior specification that aerobic activity should be performed in bouts of at least 10 minutes duration should be removed." On page 36 of the guideline

Agreed! Great find! (FYI, "PDF" page for exert is 46)

I was recently trying to adjust to five minutes (as a senior who's fitness plan ball rolled down the hill some time back) and was disappointed I was locked into 10 minutes. I get plenty of time in zones, but rarely meet exercise goals.

Hi @Cark. Thank you for sharing your Product Feedback with the Fitbit Community. We aren't sure what you mean by removing the 10 minute threshold. Do you refer to the 10 minute limit for the SmartTrack activities? Or is this related to the reminders to move alerting you 10 minutes before the hour to walk 250 steps?

We'd like to understand this idea better, so please reply with more detail or specifics on this idea, how it'd work, or what problem this is trying to solve.
We look forward to your reply.

@LizzyFitbit Not intending to speak for @Cark, but I believe he/she is referring to the Smart Track Activities. The PDF referenced includes the statement:

"Previous WHO recommendations (1) concluded that aerobic activity should be performed in bouts of at least 10 minutes duration. However, new evidence, using device-based assessments, demonstrates that physical activity of any duration, without a minimum threshold, is associated with improved health outcomes, including all-cause mortality."

We can currently adjust time required for "Auto recognized Exercises" in Settings>Preferences>Exercise, but app will not accept less than 10 minutes (attempting to do so presents a red message "Enter 10 minutes or more").

In my case, I can perform an exercise and be in various zones for 7-8 minutes. The app includes this in my daily time in zones, but it will not count as an exercise since I didn't meet the threshold.
