I just stepped up from the Charge HR to charge 3, I love it! But I really miss the press and hold button to start activity of the Charge HR. I'd like to see in a future firmware update the option to select what the button does when held.
I am proposing an idea to be able to change the function of the side button on the Charge 3 as well as maybe the other fitbit products. Currently, while holding the side button it brings upon the option to turn off notifications/screen wake, I would prefer to have it start the stopwatch specifically for my profession it is much more useful (like the charge HR).
Hi @juliad16! Great suggestion, I've moved it into a similar request. A lot of users are asking for this option on Charge 3, I hope we receive updates soon.
I would like to be able to open a specific app (stopwatch for example) upon double clicking the side button. That would be very helpful when I want to time my planks, sets or other physical activities.
Hi @SarahJane87, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option on your Charge 3. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. As the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
