Macro nutrient Information on Fitbit Device

Hi, it’s LONG over do for a macro tracker in the app. I’ve seen a lot of requests dating back to 2015. Please implement this as a priority feature. A lot of users track that as opposed to calories. The app is awesome, however I use an app called carb manager to track my macros. I would love to only use one app. PLEEEAAASSSE! Make this a feature its long over due.

Hello @Lazieg.

Thanks for posting your suggestion in here.

Being able to get their macros on the Fitbit could definitely help lots of users to better navigate through their daily food intake.

Let's see what others have to say about this.

Disappointed new update in June 2019 didn’t include macros. Macros need to be added. Not too many left who only count calories. Lost ability to synchronize with Cronometer. Why was this app removed from FitBit?

I also would love a way to track macros. I love how on the dashboard it shows calories remaining, but macros would be better. What would REALLY help me, is letting me display my dashboard tiles under the fitbit widget (for android). I have trouble keeping up my macros and calories due to a hard appetite, and I think all users would benefit from being able to see their remaining calories and/or macros on the widget so that I can see it on my phone's homescreen. This would be a huge change for my quality of life, and it seems simple enough to at least copy the calories remaining on the dashboard into the widget. Right now I can only implement the quick entry or see my Charge 3's main goal on the widget but, being able to add other tiles like sleep, calories, would be great. And macros would be even better.

Definitely needs better macro tracking. I don't like the percentages I get on my phone - and I can't always be at a computer logged into FITBIT.

Fitbit already has the know how for making great trackers, now they desperately need to start looking at their software. The software is what is going to make people continue to stay with Fitbit or move on. Why not get a $25 generic tracker and put your money into myfitnesspal etc? If they moved to a subscription based app for people who wanted to see more information (cronometer etc) I would pay $30 annually or $3 per month to have access to extra features, if done right.

I'm in the middle of exploring other apps right now. But I do like Fitbit's interface and they have a ton that they can and should be building upon in my opinion. I really hope they see the value in pumping up their APP.

If only it gave actual
macronutrient values as the
day goes on, rather than
3 simple percentages.
Please make this a priority
on the next update...it's so
Close to the perfect app..
just not quite there...yet.
