Notify me on device when battery is critically low

There should be a feature where your Fitbit actually vibrates and notifies you when the battery is getting critically low. There has been several times where I've gone to the gym and realized it's either already dead or very close to dying and then dies mid-workout

How about a notification when your fitbit detects you've woken up to let you know your battery will last throughout the day without needing to be charged. Currently my Fitbit Charge HR only tells me I'm on low battery as it happens which is rather annoying if you've gone out and can't charge it. It would be good peice of mind to know in the moring that it was going to run out so I could at least take my chrager to work.

When my Charge HR gives me a low battery notifacation its screen, which happens long after the email, I still have a good 24 hours before I have to charge it.

Don't know how this could be achieved but it certainly is a good suggestion since I have found myself in the same predicament often. I have had to purchase extra chargers for this same reason.

The idea to receive battery notifications every morning to know the battery status is great. I think this is going to be very helpful, because in that way everybody will be prepared for the day.

When the battery goes below 20% or 2 bars please improve the Blaze's notificiation so that it buzzes at you and displays a full screen notification that the battery is low. Not tiny in the top corner of the second screen and not ONLY when you have sync'ed

The Alta does not notify me when the battery is low. The app will tell me if I happen to be running it, and I got an email once, but the notifications are not consistent. The Alta died on me yesterday because I did not know the battery was low.

If it could buzz when the battery is low, that would be VERY helpful!!

Thanks!

I agree. That would be a great idea.

How about low batt notifications at 50%, 25% 10% or something similar?

I would love to have this too!

Currently, my Blaze sends me a push notification when the battery is full. This is incredibly frustrating! I don't care if the battery is full, because it's already plugged in, and I'll grab it when I'm ready. What I want to know is when I need to charge it!

I also wish that the battery meter showed on the clock face instead of in the menu--I never notice when it's low.

I totally agree on that.

The Charge 2 comes with a dedicated view which can be enabled in the settings for the battery. The Blaze only has this small tiny one on the upper left corner.  The app itself (or dashboard) only knows conditions like full, half empty, almost empty. This is not accurate enough and it also does not show the real condition of the Blaze itself.

Please add the Charge 2 battery view on Blaze

Charge 2 like battery percentage view is desired.

(For every device) There should be a notification for critically low battery. Because for surge, you have to press the menu button to check battery level

Agreed! If the device can use GPS  and notify me of phone calls & text messages, it should be able to nitify me of a low battery without me syncing to a phone or computer to then generate an email or text. Seems pretty simple...

Great idea! Especially since the notification feature doesn't always work. Mine has completely died, and I never got a notice the battery was low.

Hello! great idea but don't you get email updates if your battery is low?

Hey,

Yes I do but that doesn't help me be notified on my Fitbit. I only see I have emails when I actually open the email app on my phone and refresh it and check emails, otherwise I have no idea I've received an email nor that my battery is running critically low.
Which is why I believe if we got a notification on our actual Fitbit it would solve this issue and be an incredible help!

Oh your phone does not automatically check for new messages?
But it may cost fees for text messages to phones

Not if I dont have my phone syncing with my fitbit constantly. The Blaze should be able to indicate it without requiring a sync. Just like steps per hour notices.

Woke up this morning with plenty of juice for a full day/evening and assume percentage was high enough for Ionic to not warn me that I should charge soon.

Put some pants on and decided to go for a cycle, all going well, then the music stops and battery just dies 3/4 through my routine.

I understand I was using bluetooth for music screaming to my AirPods while utilising fitness tracking functions (GPS, heart rate etc.) so I **should** have checked it myself before leaving, however it would have been helpful for a gentle warning that my battery was getting low and may drain before I started the workout or put itself into a power saving mode during a workout, tell me to stop streaming music, turn off wifi/bluetooth, etc. etc. you get the idea. Now I have a 3/4 completed workout in the App with missing data. 😞

Thanks for reading 🙂

Main problem with this suggestion is that the act of vibrating and alerting is going to kill the battery even more. I believe it does already show a special display when you look at it and the battery level is very low (like 10 or 15%) and maybe the app should do a notification at 25%. 25% should be enough juice for a very serious workout. If you are finding the battery life is very poor (i.e. 2-3 days or less) try turning off the Quick View as it's a real killer.

If you sync the tracker during a low battery you will be notified.

Without a sync Fitbit will not know the battery status.
