I just got my Fitbit flex and I think it's fantastic. If it monitors your sleep though it will have a good idea of when you're in deep (REM) sleep and when you're in lighter sleep. You cycle between these two during the night on a pretty reliable pattern, and they're easy to tell apart as you don't move around while you're in REM sleep. At least not as I understand things.
Could an update for the Fitbit modify the alarm feature please to wake you up as close as possible to your chosen time, but NOT during REM sleep?
This will allow you to wake more naturally, feeling refreshed, rather than how unpleasant it is when your alarm goes off in REM sleep.
Thanks, please all vote for this

Hello,
Wouldn't it be nice if you allow us to name the silent alarms? For example: an alarm to wake up, one to drink water, food, one to remind me of something such as an important meeting, etc...
Your feedback is highly appreciated.
Best regards,

I would love to have an "Idle Alert" feature added where the device would vibrate if you've been idle for a certain length of time.

I and many others have liked, posted, complained and begged Fitbit to allow/enable notifications. This is a request to Fitbit to enable, at the choosing of the user of the Fitbit tracker (Charge, Charge HR, Alta, Charge 2, & Surge) to have what ever app notifications they want for both iPhone and Android devices display on the Fitbit tracker screen. This idea suggestion eliminates the need for individual idea suggestions for types of phones or apps that people want to get notifications for, we want the choice to select which ones (like third-party apps such as BitTicker have done for us in the past). I own a Charge HR, but I want this for all Fitbit trackers, not just mine. Please give this a thumbs up and post comments on your agreement with this. (And yes, we all know you want Whatsapp part of these choices, don't complain about those of us that still use SMS). It's about CHOICE of apps, not just Whatsapp.
A recent 10-08-2016 moderator (AndrewFitbit) post on the 'More Notifications' suggestion is what inspired me to do this as it suggests we divide up and make suggestions on each app feature and each device and each tracker. That is counterproductive. We need to unite!

The silent alarm in a tracker buzzes only for few times and then stops vibrating. It should vibrate until stopped by the user. Thank You

Hello,
I'm excited about the new products. I am a run/walker, and in training for my recent marathon, a friend had a garmin watch that vibrated at certain intervals. (Ex: if I wanted to have a pace of 3min run/1min walk it would vibrate at those intervals to keep me on track).

It would be really cool to have the option to increase the reminder to move minimum count. Currently, the reminder to move is set to 250 and I would really like the option of raising that number as my activity increases.

I often miss my notifications because I'm actively concentrating on something. Even when the vibrations are set to strong. I am most concerned about reminders to move.

The app should have a way to set Water drinking reminders

PROBLEM: There is no alarm that will help heavy sleepers ACTUALLY get out of bed.
SOLUTION: We are wearing a Fitbit! Make the user get up and walk (where the tracker counts a preset number of steps... i.e. 5 or 10) to disable the alarm vibrations!
Of course this can be an optional feature placed into the mobile application and Online, but I know that this would be an extremely useful feature for people like myself!

I love the silent alarm, but on the weekend my sleep schedule trends to get changed and I over sleep. Because Fitbit can track hours slept, I'd love the ability to set an alarm based on hours slept. Example: after sleeping 8.5 hours my silent alarm would go off. This would allow me to not oversleep while letting me "sleep in". Thanks for listening to this idea!
Please allow night shift hours to be selected for reminders to move. I work 7p to 7a at the hospital and the current feature only allows half of my shift to be selected. It doesn't recognize those 12 hours as consecutive hours. It would also be helpful to select different time frames for different days. I work nights 3 days a week, but the rest of the week I am awake and active during the day. I'd like to customize the reminders for certain hours on specified days.

Could we please have an option to select from a list of possible vibration patterns for our Silent Alarms.
Selectable Vibration Patterns
The patterns and repititions seem to differ between the Flex and Charge without any ability to change them back. I found the Flex vibrations to be a little too harsh and I felt they had the potential to wake up my wife.
I would personally be happy if the setting was per configured alarm or globally for the tracker. Either way, having a few selectable options for the vibration would mean that users could choose how they are woken up!
If you feel this is a useful suggestion please vote for it
Cheers
Al

There are a lot of thrid party apps that will notify you by push notification on your phone if you forget your wristband, but i want a notification on my wristband when i get out of range from my phone.

My biggest frustration is forgetting I took my Fitbit off and forgetting to put it back on. I can go all day without it on and not realize it.
Fitbit is already paired with my phone - I'd like a notification on my phone if the range of of my Fitbit exceeds a certain distance and the Fitbit has not logged any activity for a period of time.
I believe this would set the product apart from everyone else - the benefits of the product type are pointless if I don't even get to use them.

There should be a feature where your Fitbit actually vibrates and notifies you when the battery is getting critically low. There has been several times where I've gone to the gym and realized it's either already dead or very close to dying and then dies mid-workout

I love the new hourly movement goal. I would like to suggest that instead of having the goal be X consecutive hours, it could be either the total number of hours within a day or within a period. For example, let me select either:
I work in an office, which is why this goal is so important for me. It's way too easy to sit at my desk all day. So this is a great movitivator to get up and move periodically. But a single hour-long meeting in the afternoon makes it impossible to achieve this goal. And knowing that I don't have any chance of acheiving the goal diminishes the motivation to move during the other hours.
Thanks for your consideration!

I'd like to suggest to have a weekend and weekday choice to set my "Reminders to Move" steps. I am not as active during the weekday because of my sit down job but on weekends I like to move alllll day. So I would like to modify my hours of activity by weekend and by weekdays.

When receiving a call the vibration should continue for the duration of the alert ("ringing") on your phone, with the option to "silence" the notification by pressing the button, like the silent alarm function. In its current state, it's way too easy to miss an incoming call.

I've seen one or two of these in different topics, but I wanted to make a universal post to consolidate them, and add a few.
I would love to have reminders for:
These would change the app from a passive data collector to a powerful motivational coach.

When the wake-up alarm goes of it vibrates a few times but then if it doesn't wake you up it won't vibrate again for 9 minutes. That's way too long, if my alarm fails to wake me up the first couple times it's now half an hour later than I intended! This time period should be configurable. I would like the alarm to be able to go off every 1 minute until I acknowledge that i'm up. Turn off/on the snooze.
