My Fitbit Ace LTE message notifications stopped working

My Fitbit Ace LTE has recently started to hide the notifications of messages. I used to get pop up notifications when messages were sent to the watch. Now nothing. Ive looked extensively in the settings, but can't figure it out. Please let me know what I can do.

Alright, I worked with Google support for 45 minutes. We worked through many settings (connecting to wifi, mobile, turning on/off bluetooth and airplane mode). None of it worked. The last step was a factory reset of the device (and deleting the esim). It took a few minutes to reset itself, I had to re-add the device, but once I did that, it worked just fine - back to normal.

Same issue here. The watch receives text messages but it never pops up and the watch doesn't vibrate. phone calls come through. It's just text messages. I have a problem

Thank you for sharing what fixed your issue with the notifications. This will help other parents/guardians dealing with a similar issue. 

For clarification, we recommend that a sync be performed before doing a factory data reset so that there isn't a loss of progress.
