There are many areas where there is no  connectivity to the watch. Can the watch not connect to Google fi network in low coverage areas?

The Ace LTE is supposed to connect to the Google Fi network. This help page has a link to the Google Fi network coverage (<-- click link).

This help page has the steps to connect to a Wi-Fi network (<-- click link). It's done from the Settings menu on the Ace LTE device.
