Data lost

My Fitbit app automatically updated today and I’ve lost all of my tracking data from the past several years? Has anyone else had this happen and know if it’s possible to get the data back.

I'm experiencing the same issue here with an Inspire 2 and running the app on an iPhone. This afternoon, all the tracking data was there...a few hours later it's all gone or corrupted. (For example, it says I drank 1 to 3 ounces of water daily for the past few years, when I had logged an average of nearly 80 ounces daily.) The interface for data entry has also changed radically. I'm not happy about the changes.

With this update to the water tracker that came out, it looks like it cleared all my past water records and replaced it with 0-1 oz, I'm really hoping there is a fix to this, cause I use those records with my doctor along with other stats for a better health plan. I'm really hoping by following this post a Fitbit rep will have a solution to fix this and hopefully get my water records back.

Yes, I had the same problem. They changed the water intake interface (which already worked as it was) and then corrupted all the data. Seriously hope the data still exists and they're just presenting it badly.

To add a bit more info, I just checked and see that my saved weight data is still there. I also see the sleep data (which I've always taken with a grain of salt) is showing more information than it was showing a while back. When I first got the watch, it showed the various sleep stages. Then a year or so ago, the stages went away and it just showed total sleep time. Now the stages are back.

Hopefully Fitbit will see to it that our water intake data is restored. They need to remember that they have more competition these days, and we consumers have a number of choices available on the fitness tracking watch market.
