I just wanted to share my frustration of trying to get a Pixel Watch 4 to work with the ECG. After updating both it still wouldn't work. It would stick saying Open App and Waiting for App. It turns out there's an entirely different agreement you need to find under the heart monitor stuff to get it to work. Once I found it and agreed, the ECG works now. I wanted to share as deleting cache and all that didn't work. Reset the watch three times and was about to return the thing.

Hi @mentaldemise, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Thank you for sharing the resolution you have found to make your ECG app to work.
In effect, you need to go to the Health assessments section in the Fitbit app. Tap Get Started and follow the instructions. After you complete the Heart Rhythm Assessment introduction, you can take an ECG reading.
Instructions on how to use the ECG app are found in our help article What is the Fitbit ECG app? > How do I use the Fitbit ECG app?
