After downloading the Game Golf app on my Fitbit app on my HP Windows Phone and installing it on my Fitbit ionic, I was able to sign in, but could not sync/download course information. So I deleted both apps, reinstalled but now, even after successfully logging in on the Fitbit app on my phone, the Game Golf app on my ionic does not recognize that and keeps telling me I need to log in.

Welcome on board @philsoc, it's nice to see you around the forums! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenience on your own, nice way to go!
If you're having difficulties logging into the GG, I'd recommend logging out of the Fitbit app and on log back in, it also has the settings available in Game Golf to log in to the account.
If you keep having issues with the Game Golf app, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app once again. Then, from the Fitbit app, reinstall the Game Golf app and try creating your account.
If you are still having difficulties with this after following those suggestions, I'd like you to send me screen shots of the error message or blank screen you're getting so I can go from there.

Thanks for getting back and for providing some images of the issue @philsoc! With third party apps, note that Fitbit doesn't own or maintain third party integrations. It's up to the owner of the third party app to implement or update features for their app so in this case is recommendable to contact the third party developer to learn more about future implementations.
To contact the developer please open their app on the Fitbit App Gallery, scroll/swipe down and under "App Details" you will find the information. If the contact is not available for you, please use the “Please Report it” link instead.
If there's any questions present, let me know.

I have been trying to fix this off and on over the past few weeks with no success. I got in touch with the Game Golf developers and tried numerous things but nothing works.
I downloaded the Golf GPS app, and am having the same problems with a different app, accessing GPS and uploading course information.
as the same problems are occurring in two different apps, it seems more likely the problem is on the fitbit side of the equation. Any ideas?

Thanks for getting back and for proving this information @philsoc! We haven't received any reports in regards to inconveniences like the one you mentioned. If a second Golf App is having trouble, I'd recommend to see: How do I set up and troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit device?
Please keep in mind what I mentioned above since Fitbit doesn't own or maintain third party integrations.
I'll be around if you need further assistance!

It's all very good saying that Fitbit has no connection with third party apps but your not distancing yourself or inforcing any standards on them. I bought my ionic to use for golf and I can't.
I can't log in via the Fitbit game golf app. I can log in to the game golf app on my mobile fine.
The developers never answer me and I have sent them several messages.
Realistically my watch is fit for the purpose of what I purchased it for.
I think Fitbit need to take some responsibility for who can add a third party app to their system.
I have done the whole delete reinstall sign out etc and nothing works.
Really had on both developers.
Regards
Paul.

I am having the same issue. At first, Game Golf kept crashing. I deleted and reinstalled it but nothing. I deleted that and my Fitbit app and reinstalled both. Now, I can't even sign in to Game Golf. I can sign into my account on my phone but not Fitbit. It took several weeks for Game Golf to reply to my first issue of it shutting down. Now waiting for a response on this issue. I purchased my Ionic for both fitness and for golf and now I'm very annoyed. Fitbit shouldn't offer an app that doesn't work properly on their products.

I have heard nothing from both the developer and Fitbit. Complete joke and I know have to change my watch again to something that does what I want which is a shame as I really like my ionic.
