The Microsoft Band 2 had a great app that used the accelerometer and GPS along with Course maps to give you current yards to hole, tracked your swings and such, any news if there will be a golf app for the fitbit Ionic?

Tired what you said but once I log off of fitbit and log back in the app, I go to the game golf app and click on settings. Still get the white screen. I can't even get to the log in screen again for the app.

Are you sure youre logging off the fitbit app, and NOT the game golf app?

Yes I do step by step. I log out of fitbit app, then re log into the fitbit app. I go to the game golf app in the fitbit app. I click on settings and bam still the white screen. I have tried to uninstalling the app and re installing it and still get white screen. Starting to really make me mad.

I had same issue, and was surprised (and frustrated) to read all the positive posts, so thought maybe I was doing it wrong. The only thing I could think of was I had not tried it at an actual course. Yesterday I had a tournament. I made sure the Ionic was fully charged, went to the course, removed the app from my watch, reinstalled the app and synced first. I opened the app on my watch and it said to download a course. Went to settings on the phone, found the course I was at and selected send to tracker. It worked! I used it as expected the entire round. It was pretty accurate, showing same yardage as my cart partners handheld GPS. Not only did it last the entire 18, only used about 50% of the charge. I was very happy with it!

Kevin,

How long have you had the Ionic?  I have only had mine about a week and a half and the Game Golf app was basically a clean install.

Would you consider doing a factory reset?  How many other apps have you installed?  Music?

Played three rounds on three courses in Jamaica last week.  All courses were available and the app worked perfectly.  As with others, used about 50% of the battery each round.

Sorry Kev, it worked for me. Have you tried rebooting the Ionic, then going through the steps?

Kevin...still same thing for me. I have removed, rebooted, re-installed, etc.  I am beginning to think that it might be something with my Fitbit itself.  I got mine before the update and had similar problems as did Fitbit representatives who tried to help me update to the new software.  For whatever reason my Fitbit does not want to work with my wifi.  Hours in this Fitbit troubleshooting problems. Very frustrating.

I played three rounds on three different courses last week.

Since I have a Charge 2, I used my Ionic primarily for golf.  Thursday I turned the Ionic on (full charge) about an hour before the round, went home after, and walked our dog for an hour to get my steps in.  I then shut the Ionic down.

Friday, with out charging the Ionic followed the same routine to include the walk with our dog.  After the walk I got a low battery message.

Thanks for your update. I am still not able to load into my Ionic. Hopefully, Fitbit will send through an update sometime soon that eliminates this difficulty.  I have tried everything recommended but no luck.

Hi axelbloms, the Game Golf website has a section where you can request courses to be added.

Had my first game yesterday. Went out with 55% charge did a round of 18 in 4 hours came back with 33% battery 🙂

There is a trick to this. Turn off the screen awake option and set it to manual. Every time your wrist moves the watch wakes up and displays, this kills the battery..

I have had mine turned off for months now. On a 100% charge I can go a week to 8 -9 days or more without having to charge.

Pressing the button is really no hassle and it stops it illuminating and being annoying when you’re half asleep and rolling over!

Ok; spent an hour + in a chat session with Fitbit today over this Game Golf App. (red icon)  They could not get it to load onto my Ionic either.  Finally, they gave up and said they needed to research further and will get back to me.  Meanwhile, I researched the All Apps area today and found another golf app called Golf GPS. (green icon) loaded it and courses in my area popped up. Appears though that they are all in meters.  It seems our posts might be talking about two different apps hence one works the other doesn't.  I am a little concerned because there are a lot of misspellings in the directions for the Game Golf App which leads me to worry that it is not legit and may be fishing for my information.

Hi @RioRon.

I am the developer of the GOLF GPS (Green icon). This topic is about Game golf. So little confusion here about the two different apps.

(My app uses your fitbit account settings to determine if you want to use meters or yards.)

Pleased to inform you that there has been a correction somewhere by someone
that has resulted in the app working properly. I had checked the Fitbit
site earlier today which displayed a website banner message to be patient
as work was being done on apps being loaded into the Ionics. Whatever work
your team or their did today resulted in the apps ability to load quickly.
This time courses loaded immediately into the app and then showed up on the
Ionic just as quickly. Tomorrow, I will finally test the app during a
round of golf. I’ll keep you posted on the performance. Thanks--
