Getting a newer FitBit

So I'm moving from a Charge 2 to a Charge 3. How do I switch over in the FitBit app? Will my dashboard start back at zero?

Stay logged into the app with the same fitbit account/email.  Click profile pic to get to Account page; then 'Set up a Device' and set up your new tracker.  All your data is stored in the main Fitbit database under your account, so as long as you set up in the same account, your previous data will all be there, and data from new tracker will seamlessly add to it.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
