Hi everyone, I’m trying to install a third-party app on my Versa 2, but I can only see official Fitbit apps in the gallery. I'm specifically looking for a rain alert app that shows precipitation levels. I have a link to the App, but it isn't working for me. Does anyone know how I can sideload apps now?
please Fitbit. Please add the app library back. 🙏
thank you

Hi @MusicLocal and warm welcome to the forums.
I appreciate your message regarding the third party apps for your Versa 2.
By any chance, are you located in the European Economic Area? I'm informing you that since June 2024, users in the European Economic Area (EEA) can no longer install third-party apps and clock faces from the Fitbit gallery. This change was implemented by Google to comply with the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which was created to reduce the power of technology companies over their users.

Hi @MusicLocal and thank you for your messages.
I don't think it can be reversed, since it was a decision made in accordance with the legislation of that area.
Regarding the SDK, I suggest you to take a look into: SDK Development, as you will find more information there about what you want to do.
Best wishes,
