How do I reinstall the Agenda app?

Updated my Versa 2 to newest firmware today and then tried Agenda app. After sticking at opening on permissions, it finally opened up and showed no events. I went into settings and was unable to select accounts. I tried the usual procedure of a misbehaving app and tried to uninstall and reinstall. After uninstall, Agenda is gone (!). Not on watch, not in Fitbit app on android phone and not in Fitbit Gallery. ? How to I get access back to the app to reinstall.

Hi there @Ontreg, thanks so much for getting back to me.

After receiving your post I informed this to our team and it seems to be solved now. The Agenda app may have been hidden in the Gallery for some reason, but they just made it visible to all. Could you please try to reinstall the Agenda app again and to make sure your Fitbit app is up to date?

Keep me posted please. 😉

Hi there @Ontreg, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I appreciate all the steps you've tried so far in order to reinstall your Agenda app.

Besides the steps you performed, I'd suggest restarting your Versa 2 if you've done so. The steps to restart your smartwatch can be found here

Then, let's try to install your Agenda app by following the steps below:

  1. In the Fitbit app on your phone, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image > Apps.
  2. Tap the gear icon next to Agenda. You may need to swipe up to find the app. You’ll see all calendars linked to the default calendar app on your phone.
  3. Adjust the settings to choose which calendars to show on your watch, the color for events linked to each calendar, and whether you want to see blocks of free time.
  4. Sync your watch to see today’s and tomorrow’s events from your calendars in the Agenda app

On you Versa 2, swipe left on your watch face. Agenda, Wallet, and Alexa are on an addition screen.

I had to give it all permissions on the app, then sync.  When I opened it on Versa 2, it gave that same permissions message for a second or two, then went into the app. Next time I tried it, didn't get permissions message at all.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, as I tried to say in the original message, the app is not there anymore. It is missing from "My Apps" (scrolled down and checked) , it does not exit in "All Apps" either through a search for "Agenda" or in the show all FitBit apps. It is also not surprisingly. present on the watch either.

That seems to mean that the app came bundled with the recent firmware update (which it did) yet it clearly had a "uninstall" option which completely removes it. Something that should not happen.

Can you advise if Agenda will be added to the FitBit section of the All Apps area of the Gallery - that way I can reinstall. If not, if I can do a factory reset and regain the Agenda app but would rather not take this rather drastic step. Thanks.

Hi @MarreFitbit

Yes, I saw that Agenda finally showed itself on the gallery and I reinstalled. My accounts show "com.google" which syntax suggests that it is restricted to Google accounts? Is there any way to add a MicroSoft account (I know, shear heresy to the new owners) ? If not, sorry, but much ado about nothing. I'll have a closer look at the third party solutions which seem to easily connect to MS accounts. Please advise and thanks for your patience.

Hi there @Ontreg! I'm glad to hear that you were able to add back your Agenda app. 😉

In regards to your question, are you talking about the emails that show in your Agenda app? If so, note that you’ll see all calendars linked to the default calendar app on your phone.

Have you tried changing the default emails on your phone instead?

I'm looking forward to your response, keep me posted.

Hello again,

If I open settings of Agenda in the FitBit app on my phone, the only references are to Google mail accounts (I have 2). There is no mention of my primary Outlook MS account. The account portion refers somewhat  dyslexically to "com.google" whatever that means.

Anyway, I changed my phone's default email from Outlook to Gmail and Agenda did not change. Unless Agenda is capable of pulling calendar events from my MS account (which is my default) I'm afraid Agenda doesn't offer anything to me. I have noticed that third party apps like "Events" has a MS signin procedure built into their settings and it works well. Why can't Agenda perform in the same manner?

Regards

I could not get the Agenda app to sync either, so I removed it. Now it is not listed to be installed for me either.

Call the fitbit number or do a chat. I removed the device and then
uninstalled the app. I did speak with a representative and its kinda crazy
how u just give her a lil info and she can restart the tracker and give
permissions to your fitbit. I didnt wait long and they were very courteous

Unless this app can sync with Outlook, it is of no use to me. I have uninstalled and moved on to a better product with all upcoming events showing.
