Inca Cat Face ran way the next day

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Two separate days, I've earned over my step goal, fed the cat all of the fish treats, and on both occasions the cat still ran away the next day, sending me an email with a pic that it was hungry. Any one else having that trouble?

Hey there @Karyzma33, it's nice to see you here! Fitbit Pet is a third-party app that doesn't belong to Fitbit, the way it works is according to the developer in charge (including its features). Although we don't provide specific troubleshooting or support for Fitbit Labs apps or clock faces at this time, we welcome user feedback as we look for new ways to deliver smart, insightful and motivating experiences. Share your feedback through this form.

As you progress through your steps each day, you will see the number in the bottom right corner count up. Tap on that area any time it’s more than zero, and a little food bowl comes out to feed your dog or cat. You have to earn enough of those treats to feed him 5 times each day or the next morning the doghouse/cat-house will be empty. If you tap on the envelope in the cat house you will see a picture of your pet and a figure for the number of treats he wants. Once you have earned your treats tap on the little circle with the treat number earned and your pet will come back to you.

Something that I've noticed with this is that the steps that increase the number in the lower-right corner have to be steps you got on the Fitbit Ionic or Versa (depending of which one you have). If you have more than 1 Fitbit tracker, and you get your steps using your other one, and then sync both so that your Ionic/Versa reflects the updated step count, then the number in the lower-right corner on the Ionic/Versa screen with your pet will not have increased. The interactive clock face seems it only pulls step data locally, from the device (the tracker itself), instead of from the account.

Hope this helps, let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.

I'm having the same problem. I've hit my step goal for the last three days, MADE SURE I fed my cat the treats, and had six treats in reserve last night and he still ran away at midnight. You can't overfeed him to get ahead of it... i tried. I'm ready to get rid of this clock because it doesn't seem to work properly, but it's so cute when the cat is around.

But why is the cat running away even though his treat bar (the hearts) are full?

I just downloaded this clock face and mine ran away after the first night as well. So now the question is, how do I get Inca back? All I see is an email with a picture of Inca thinking about food.

Hey there @Krice73, thanks for jumping in here! Smiley Very Happy I'm glad to hear you decided to give this Clock Face a try!

Well, as I've shared here, "You have to earn enough of those treats to feed him 5 times each day or the next morning the doghouse/cat-house will be empty. If you tap on the envelope in the cat house you will see a picture of your pet and a figure for the number of treats he wants. Once you have earned your treats tap on the little circle with the treat number earned and your pet will come back to you.

Hope this helps to bring your Inca back. Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you in the meantime.

What do you have to do to get the treats? Or get the kitty to come out

Best Answer

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Elisa47! Steps required to earn treats are based on your daily step goal. 1 treat will represent 10% of your step goal. So, I'd recommend double checking if you step goal is set up correctly:

  • Open the Fitbit app.
  • Tap the Account icon.
  • Under "Goals" tap "Activity".
  • Check your step goal.
  • If you change your step goal please sync your watch afterwards to make the changes effective.

If you step goal is set correctly, try to change it anyways. This may reset the setting and sort the clock face issue too. You can try changing your step goal to a different one, sync your watch, and then change it back to your original goal (sync your watch).

Please note that Fitbit Labs apps and clock faces are experimental in nature, so you might experience minor issues, and they might be available for a limited time. Please share your feedback through this form.

Hope this helps. Try this out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

My cat ran away last night.  I fed him all his treats today and he came back.  I now have it looks like all my treats he needs for today.  What does it mean now that every time I look at him he is walking. Is that bad or good.  Is he going to run away again tonight.

Thanks for your help !

Hi,
I am glad your kitty came back mine never came back.  If I am not mistaken it means that you have to walk.  I know when I installed it there were so many issues with it.  I believe there is website you can check to see what certain things mean.
I hope this helps at least a little.

I would like to know what the web site is. I thought it meant walking also, for obvious reasons. But I already had my hearts full at that point and he was all fed with treats for the day. Weird huh. Thanks. Linda

What? I didn't mean to "report this." I simply have the same problem, again. The cat was completely fed yesterday with several fish left over. Versa 2 low so I set it into charger. After recharged, I put device on and cat ran away again. I'm still walking today trying to get her back.
