Just want to point out that if you install the Med ID app and enter emergency contact info, allergy info, etc., it pretty much replaces the need to wear a Road ID wristband (as long as First Responders know to look for the info on the app on your Fitbit.

@paulpan Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share this important information and feedback about the Med ID app for Fitbit watches.
I think it is better to use this app. This way, you could only use one wristband (your Fitbit watch) and be more comfortable. You can have all the information and apps you want in the same device.
I'm sure this app is very helpful for a lot of users and should be downloaded to every Fitbit watch.
Thanks again for sharing your experience on this thread.
Keep me posted!

Just to note, this doesn't work for First Responders if you have a PIN set on your Fitbit.

@paulpan Thanks for your reply and for sharing this. Good point, that is good to know. Best not having a PIN set up in case of emergency.
I'm sure this will be very helpful for other users to know and be aware of this.
Thanks again. See you around!

Ok, so I have the Med ID app and have entered all my meds and other good stuff. Works great.
Now I want to update it and change some meds. When I open the settings on the app on my phone, all my personal info is gone - it wants me to enter my name, all the meds etc. again, start from scratch - even though they are still on my Versa.
Surely I can open the app up and just update stuff that has changed. Why would it wipe everything clean on the phone app - especially as there IS a "Clear All Settings" at the bottom. (Which I most certainly didn't touch)
Thoughts ?

I once lost all my entries on the Med ID app. Not sure how that happened, but agree that sounds like a flaw.

Just got this app after seeing this topic. Good thing to have besides having a medical alert pendant.

Hello there @Steveb0914, @paulpan, and @RottieLover! We're glad to hear you all are enjoying the Med ID app. Thanks for sharing your experience with this app! 😊
For future references, with third party apps, note that Fitbit doesn't own or maintain third party integrations. It's up to the owner of the third party app to implement or update features for their app so in this case is recommendable to contact the third party developer to learn more about future implementations.
To contact the developer please open their app on the Fitbit App Gallery, scroll/swipe down and under "App Details" you will find the information.
See you later and stay awesome!

To whomever developed this, it doesn't want sync with the Versa. You can update the info in the app, but then when you sync, the info doesn't update on the watch.
