NFC door readers app

Does anyone know if there is a Fitbit app that allows the use of the NFC functionality in the watch to be used for things like gym entry or other entry locks based on a card system. That is, open the app on the watch, hold the watch near the card reader at the location and hey presto, the door opens.

I think your idea is great. I was making some research and was able to find this idea asking for the same:

Please cast a vote for this idea and leave a comment to show support for it. Different kinds of developers often check this board to get idea to work on. So, this is for sure the best place to make this request.

Happy to see that more people svare the same ideas! Really hope to see this in the near future. One thing that could be possible is to implement this in the wallet app, witch already has a similar function. That way the developers don’t have to start from scratch 😊

When will this be implemented?

This is a very important feature and is sorely missing from expensive Fitbits like the Ionic. (in fact NFC should be even in the entry-level models)

I would like to use my Fitbit to open doors with NFC smart locks in my home. My phone doesn't have NFC built in and in a lot of situations it would be inconvenient to recover the phone from my pockets/bag anyways (much much easier just put my wrist to the NFC reader).  For example, I arrive home with my bicycle very often and the phone is in the bag. The garden door is NFC capable and would be great to open it with the Fitbit.  (same for the garden shed)

I have been using Fitbit Pay for a while and I think it is great functionality but is limited to payments.

Working with smart locks is WAY simpler than Fitbit Pay, it usually only requires the Fitbit to send a fixed NFC ID.

I have not found an app for this in the apps visible/searchable for the Ionic (searching with "nfc" and "locks"). 

Why is this very natural function not implemented?
