However there is an alternative, that is to listen to music from the phone.

Of course it means having the phone with you but you need that for notifications, etc

With the watch music controls you have the same functionality but using the phone as the source.

@Mommcatt please see How to control music from your watch.

Sorry but as with the phone, both Pandora and Deezer do require paid accounts to store music locally. This is a decision they, not Fitbit made.

I just bought the sense and that was one of the the first thing I was updating when I see, subscription required. Not cool, disappointed.

Sorry @WhistleG but the decision was not fitbit's

Ionic & Versa has music offline. So that was Fitbit's decision not to implement a music player and local music storage possibility. I just bought my Sense after my Ionic broke, and I am so disappointed. You have to pay 300 euros on a smartwatch, to pay a monthly subscription for Fitbit premium and now a subscription for music? No, thank you, I am already paying for youtube premium witch is not supported. Good job, Fitbit, not!

I am not using subscription services like Spotify for listening to music. I am downloading the music directly on my mobile phone. I am using an app that allows downloading mp3 files at high quality. You can find this app on this site. Whenever I hear a great song, I use Shazam to determine the song's name and introduce it in the app. It takes the audio from YouTube, so you can say that it can download any music from YouTube you can find. I like that I can also download remixes there, which aren't available on subscription services.

So are saying Pandora is free to use on the versa 2?

No @lina... To get Pandora on any tracker it requires a subscription. However, you should be able to control the Pandora app on your phone, from your wrist. That should not require a sim subcription.

Today, perhaps, there is no person who would not download music from the Internet. Tracks that have just appeared, favorite hits, melodies of the past — the network has everything. Go to thenewpiratebay.org and check it yourself. I download absolutely everything I need from there.

With so many streaming services, and most friends having iOS. With phones having limited memory, I don't know anybody that stores music on their ohones

I agree with you, but I don't want to run with the phone in the pocket. I have NFC payment on my watch, but I can't put 30 songs in his memory because I have to pay another subscription to deezer. Spotify only allows you to crontrol the music from your phone.

What kind of Fitbit device you have? I've versa 2 and the MP3 music transfer from my PC to my versa 2 does work. I use a headphone with Bluetooh 5.0 support and the music listening can be in acceptable quality of course without my smart phone. It's great for running.

@XYOFUN Starting from Versa 3 / Sense Fitbit has taken away the possibility to store your own MP3 files on watch.

Well, thanks this useful information. In this case I'll skip the buying of Fitbit versa 3 😄 Maybe this function will be get back on Fitbit versa 4 or on something issued product.
