I agree. I tried to use it for the first time the other day (since I haven't been flying) and it was inaccurate. I understand that it is United's responsibility to fix the app but if Fitbit sells a product by telling people of all the cool and useful apps they can use, it is in Fitbit's interest to make sure the apps work and are plentiful. Otherwise, I will get an apple watch where I know the apps work.

Another thing to mentioned is that Fitbit decided to make available the Fitbit OS version 5 on Versa 3 and Sense only that effectively breaks the compatibility with previous versions of the apps.
