Hello!
I am mostly pleased with my Ionic. I know that this is a new product so I figured I would put out as much as I could before the next update:
I am an American service member living in Japan. I bought my Ionic in the states. When I was in the States, temperatures were displayed in Fahrenheit. Now I am in Japan temps are in Centigrade. I don’t mind, but I think this is something that I should be able to switch between F and C.

You can set your metric/emperial preferences in your Fitbit account settings. This will override location preferences assumed by the watch based on geolocation.

So I went to my account and found where I can change units. For instance, I have my distances in metric, my height and weight are in imperial. Nothing about temperature... yet! Again, this is a suggestion for improvement which out to be easy to fulfill.

Yes, you are right. C/F preference cannot be set (yet). But, for your comfort, soon you can install new clockfaces and apps that give you the option to show C/F in their configuration options. The new apps and clockfaces are being developed by former Pebble developers and other programmers.

No, there isn’t a temperature specific unit, yet (it is coming, we are told). However, in the meantime, temperature units are linked to distance units. Set metric distance and the temperature will be Celsius, imperial distance gives degrees F.

I appreciate the feedback. Although, like I said earlier, when I was in the states it was in F and my distance units were in metric. Which lead me to believe the setting is location based.
I think it should be easy enough to creat a toggle, or a new weather app that can toggle.
It’s more important to me to keep my distance so metric, so until the update happens, that’s where I will be.

My Versa shows miles and Centigrade. Can I change it to miles and Fahrenheit?

I'm having the same issue. My unit for length is feet/miles, yet my weather app shows temperature in Celsius and I want Fahrenheit.

Hello everyone! Versa/Ionic users still need to change their units to miles >Fahrenheit and kilometers>Celsius for now. Since 2.2 is still only at 10%.
When an update is available you'll see a notification in the Fitbit app prompting you to update. When the update starts, a progress bar appears on Versa and in the 68 Fitbit app until the update is complete. For best results, make sure your watch is charged and can connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I finally figured this out & didnt see a post with correct way to update.
When in your account, select your device, then Apps, then go to weather app, settings then update your temperature unit.
