Weather app not syncing correctly

Again I have a problem with my Fitbit. Second problem and I have had it only about 6 weeks. Now the weather won't sync. I have spent countless hours on this, looked at the help section on Fitbit.com, spent 40 minutes on the phone with a Fitbit CS and yet it still doesn't sync/work. The answer I received from a supervisor...we are working on it. Really? I see posts from 2018 regarding the weather not working. How can this product be sold with the weather as part of this Fitbit and yet it doesn't work. Please advise. I and MANY others are not happy.  Versa Lite.  Iphone 6s

Hi @mell1960. Welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for letting me know that you're having issues with the Weather app, as well for taking the time to contact our Support team. I understand where you're coming from as this app should be working correctly. As you may know, there are some factors that may prevent this app from syncing correctly, for that reason, please make sure of the following:

  • Location services must be set to "Always" for the Fitbit app.
  • All-day sync must be turned on in the Fitbit app.
  • Your watch and the Fitbit app are updated to the latest version.
  • There isn't any pending update for the Weather App in the App Gallery.
  • The Fitbit app must remain running in the background on your phone.

Although you may have tried some steps, please try one more time to remove your watch from the Bluetooth settings, turn off the Bluetooth on your iPhone and any other device nearby, reboot your phone, open the Fitbit app and sync your Versa Lite. Once that is done, check the Weather app on your watch. Please note that it can take a few minutes to see the updated list of locations.

As of now, I will keep my FitBit Versa Lite, till I can afford something different. I use to be able to check the weather on my old one before that Factory Reset. The new Versa Lite, the weather app does not work.  And as I said before, I will not do a Factory Reset on the new one. I am so afraid of the same thing happening, turning off and never to be able to turn it back on. I have heard so many others having the same problems. How can this be fixed? So far no solutions, just the same advice, the same procedures that have not worked.
