Weather app not syncing

I am so torn on whether to keep the watch or take it back. I really like it for the fitness tracking and although it has crashed once , it is overall pretty good. The battery life is very good as well. But I cant for the life of me understand why you would have a weather app that doesnt work with the wifi and instead needs me to sync my phone all the darn time. I synced this morning after my run and yet here i am at 6pm and I open the weather app for it to tell me to sync for weather. If I have to do that then I can just look up the weather on my phone.

It is these silly things that are very frustrating. Wallet doesnt work with my banks. Strava doesnt ever show my runs, cant interact with texts at all. It just seems to me like they tried and rush it a little to get it to market and just delivered the bare minimum. Maybe in a year it will be a great watch but it feels like I paid $250 for a fitness tracker only.

Yup Ionic is primarily a fitness tracker. Consider an iWatch next time if you are embedded into the Apple ecosystem.
