When will the app store be available?  I'm not asking about developing, but for getting new apps.

Fitbit App Gallery is still pretty small; but a lot are being developed, check the ionic icon on your Fitbit dashboard from time to time to browse what's been approved and new:

Up to 90 apps can be installed on Fitbit Ionic at a time.
To install an app:
    1.    With your watch nearby, on the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon () > your device image.
    2.    Tap or click Apps > All Apps.
    3.    Browse the available apps. When you find the one you want to install, tap or click it.
    4.    Tap or click Install to add the app to your watch.

How do you pay for new apps?

I presume not all apps will be free.

I deinstalled 2 Apps on my ionic.

So now I only see 11 Apps an "my apps" tab.

But I also only see 11 Apps on "all apps" tab.

The deinstalled apps do not show on the "all apps" tab anymore.

how can they be reinstalled again, If the do not appear on the all Apps tab anymore?

If by any change the missing apps are Starbucks, or Pandora, make sure your location (Account tab > Profile picture > Gear icon > Location) is the US or a country where these apps are available.

Otherwise, they won't appear on My Apps, nor All Apps.

Is there a roadmap for new apps coming in the next year?

Best Answer

The app gallery is not open to third-party apps yet, but based on this thread it looks like that should be happening soon.

Having the ability to check and/or add apps from the web based dashboard would be a big plus. My phone crashes or has severe lag when trying to navigate the Android app. Before anyone suggests updating the app/phone/settings, it's all been done.

They are having an app making contest and winners will be announced on the 15th of December so I'm assuming shortly after the app store will open. I'm thinking first of the year

Last night around 6:45pm CST I was able to see more APPs in the App section --calculator/tips/other apps.  None could be downloaded and it said could not be used on my device. Also I saw that there were TONS more watch faces.  (But now I can't access them.)

So something is happening.

I must have hit the button right at a time when Fitbit was doing some testing.

I am really looking forward to it!

I can only count 3 applications. The others are standard functions of the fitbit system.

Starbucks: not very useful but it's OK.

Strava: good addition

Pandora: I think Google music or spodify would have been better.

Fitstar: I was disappointed because I signed up for the subscription but I cannot load new trainings into the watch.

Application I wish.

underarmour. Record.

Do you know if there are any functional fitness applications? Honest I
don't look much. Into text. Messages. Instagram or any of those social
applications or games. Would you please advise.
