How do I add friends to Fitbit?

How do I add friends to my contact list so I can include them in challenges?

I lost ALL my firend with this NEW version and adding friends won't work with usernames, all my friends usernames say "username not found". Can't see any groups, HATE HATE HATE the "new" fitbit. Useless app.

Yes this was a big disappointment for me too. I had used devices on Strava and really liked to chat and share. Fitbit claimed to be able to add forced when I bought it Dec 2023, but it didn’t work. Google have wrecked this feature

@SunsetRunner are you logging in through your Google account. If so, you will only see friends that seedy also logged in through Google? 

Logging in through an email address? Only friends that log in through email will be seen.

Very possible, unless both you and your friends log in the same way. You will temporarily loose them. 

If your friends moved to a Google login and you haven't. Or if you moved to a Google login and they did not. 

Under your friends list, tap show all.. The names that show as unavailable have either stopped using their fitbit, or don't log in the way you are logging in. 

With not giving detail in your post, I'm not sure if you have switched over to a Google log in.
