What does the timestamp on Activity Groups mean since we can't update the threads?

ANSWERED

I keep checking the community to 'talk' to my FitBuddies but can't (sigh) .... I know you are working on it.  But all of the groups have fairly recent time stamps ... is that the last time anybody accessed them for reading purposes (since it can't be for update purposes)?  A timestamp for updates makes sense (even more sense was the member name and update time we had) but for read-only ends up wasting a lot of time since I'm quite sure more people read posts than actually add posts.

Hi Cody, It should be possible for you to join, post, and create topics in Fitbit Activity Groups (fitbit.com/groups). When you click into a group you are a member of, you will see the Group Leaderboards followed by Discussions. The Last post timestamp indicates the time that post was published.

activity group

The original forums (fitbit.com/community) are read-only. The timestamps on forum posts will reflect the time a post was published and do not reflect the most recent time that post was read. You can see in the example below, all posts were published 1 week ago. Since it is no longer possible to publish updates in the community forums, this date will only increase and next week it will read 2 weeks ago.

forums time

Hope that helps explain the difference between the Fitbit Activity Groups and Original Forums. If you are still unclear, please share a direct link to the FitBuddies group you are trying to 'talk' to so we can investigate further.

Is it possible that FitBuddies group was contained within a single thread in the Original Forums? If that's the case, I'd be happy to help you start another similar thread in the new community so you and your buddies can keep the conversation going.
