how do i get out of a thread once I've gotten into it?

@SunsetRunner  Easiest way is to stop posting to it. I'm guessing you mean that you're receiving emails when there is a response to the thread. To stop that, go to the first page of the thread and to the right pull down on "topic options" and select "unsubscribe" which will stop those emails from being sent to you.
