Why is accessing your Fitbit premium trail offer so difficult? Customer Service was no help. Is this a marketing ploy with no real intention of allowing access to the trial? It really shouldn't be this hard. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Before anything else, I'd like to share with you that you can start the free trial from the Fitbit app under the You tab. There you'll be prompted to try Premium and choose from our membership options. If this wasn't your case, could you let me know where in the process the issue occurred? Did you see an error message? Have you updated the Fitbit app to the latest version?
