Hi, It seems when setting up my account I have put in too high fitness level and it should be beginner. How can I set my level back to beginner so the workouts more suit my level?

Hello @fasmus, welcome to the Forums.

I moved your post to the Fitbit Coach board as it is much better suited for it.

As for changing the Fitness Level, you should be able to check that on the settings. Have you tried going to the settings and retaking the test?

Look forward to your reply.

How do I edit my fitness level on the app? The sessions are far too easy and at the moment it's a total waste of time. I can't see any way to adjust it in settings

Welcome to the Forums @HannyD.

Let me help you figure out what is going on.

You should be able to retake the test by going into the settings. Tap on the account tab, that should take you to your settings. You should have the option to retake your fitness level score test in there.

I hope you find this useful. Let me know if there are any other questions on the matter.

Hi there, on the coach app, there still doesn’t appear to be a settings option to change fitness level or retake the fitness test.

How do I increase the fitness level on Fitbit coach, as the guidance above doesn’t appear to be correct?

@Milwards I'm sorry for the late response. However let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

We apologize for the previous misunderstanding in regards to the option to retake the test. I'm afraid that this option is not available. I'd like you to take a look at this help article which explains how to modify your workouts for Fitbit Coach.

I'll be around if any question arises!

@JuanJoFitbit this ‘help’ article is anything but helpful?! It states to rate each workout, it doesn’t explain what rating the workout does to modify the difficulty of the exercise. There surely needs to be a user controlled input into the difficult of the exercises, otherwise this is pointless. Come on guys, you can do better than this.

Either letting me see what exercises are in the fit test or letting me change my fitness level would make  the coaching experience useful.  I am unable to do about half of the exercises so I didn't even try to complete the fit test. I really need to be able to start where I am.

I too am having this same problem: can't change the fitness level at all.

What if one suffers an injury or if simply didn't choose the right level...

Really something you need to fix guys!

Thanks!

I did the fitness test and my level placement is totally reversed from what my actual strengths/weaknesses are. I couldn't finish the push ups but was placed in level 7 for arms. I did legs and core with NO problem and was placed in level 4. My heart was thumping out of my chest and I was placed in level 7 cardio. I know my heart is not in that good of shape.

The intro to the test says afterward we can rate each exercise for difficulty as well as enter the amount of reps we were able to complete. No such option appeared.

Can we actually customize these things or no? Great idea. Not great execution.

I have the same issue. I would love to find out how I can change the fitness level and make the workouts more challenging

@Tanyaberggren Welcome to the Community.

You could change your fitness level by choosing another Coach program

- Get Moving

- Get Lean

- Get Strong

- Daily Dose

Each one will challenge you, as always please make sure that you're rating your completed sessions.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
