Daily Readiness Score miscalculation

Hi,

I have the Charge 5 + Premium service and I've wanted to talk about the Daily Readiness Score.

I suspect the DRS isn't calibrated or maybe its algorithm is faulty. I've been ill with a fever for the past 3 days and in each of them the score showed me "Excellent".

My activity was "light" - sure, who will train with a high fever?

My recent sleep was "high" - sure, I've slept a lot during the nights.

My heart rate variability was average - It is always like that, I don't know much.

So Fitbit, how is that during the illness and fever I can go "all out"?

I bought the Charge 5 and subscribed to the premium service (which is a paid service) to improve my health and fitness insights about myself. I think there needs to be some calibration or tweaks to the system, otherwise it is just a commercial gimmick.

It makes perfect sense to me. Maybe look at it this way. You're body is totally resting, and you've put it into the perfect environment to work for healing.

It's exactly what you'd do if you were recovering from a marathon, instead of an illness. Let your body recover and get your readiness score high.

If the number was wrong, that would mean you weren't in recovery mode. Do you think it should indicate that you're doing exhausting work while you sit around doing nothing recuperating?

I'm just saying that the Readiness Score should take more factors into its calculation.

I'm not telling it needs to indicate exhausting work while I'm lying in bed but it shouldn't be indicating also that I can go wild while I'm with a fever.

Just my opinion.
