Fitbit Premium Subscription Feedback

I hope it is worth spending the extra 30 minutes to give you this feedback.

I bought my wife a Fitbit two years ago.  We are due for an upgrade and are thinking about getting two watches.  One for her and one for myself.

After hours spent researching, my feedback to you is that the subscription model has put too much angst and stress on the shoppers.  We need to figure out what features we won't get if we didn't subscribe to Fitbit Premium. Do we have to pay for two subscriptions - one for me and one for her?  Does our data get sold to third parties if we didn't subscribe to the premium model?  The list goes on.

We are willing to pay top dollar for your best watch, but the need to subscribe has forced us to look into the other watches by Google and Samsung.  Instead of simply be your returning loyal customers, we were pushed to the competitors.

On top of that, you need to have a whole team to support the subscription business.  I am sure you can better allocate those resources.

Please keep it simple.  I just want to be able to just say, "Here Fitbit, take my money and give me your best watch  I will return and buy another one in a year or two"..

P/S: It shouldn't take me six clicks and five minutes in order submit a feedback.

Sincerely,

Leng

  • If going from 1-user to 2-user family, be aware, separate smart watch is needed for each user.
  • Premium has no bearing on data-sharing, which should not be happening in either case.
  • Premium is on an individual basis, not shared by family.
  • Looking for "best" watch, do not just jump at latest or most expensive model.  I suggest comparing features carefully.  There have been some changes in feature sets in some newer models which not all user agree are improvements.  Sometimes the one you are happy with remains the best choice for you, if it is still working.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
