Free premium trial scam

Fitbit is absolutely absurd with their customer service. 

I received a free 1 year membership to fitbit premium with the purchase of a new Google pixel watch. The membership changed after 6 months and automatically went and accessed my financial information on the Google play store to charge me roughly $86 to renew a subscription early without informing me let alone obtaining my consent. 

When reaching out to fitbit, they say they do not refund subscriptions.

When reaching out to Google to request refund, they say they cannot refund the charge and they told me to contact PayPal for a refund. I didn't even pay with PayPal.

Lastly I contact Google play. They Won't even issue a refund due to their policy.

 

So I'm not sure which one of the 2 Google teams or the 1 fitbit rep doesn't know how to push buttons correctly but this is ridiculous. 

 

What makes it worse, is I never even got to use the premium membership. The **ahem** app kept malfunctioning and couldn't set up with the new watch.

 

Terrible terrible customer service on each side. This is something I'd expect to get some kind of credit for to make up for the senseless hassle just to get a company not to charge my card without authorization.
