Hi All,
I signed up for Fitbit Premium several days ago, and have been trying out several features, especially the guided programs.
Whenever I try to meditate using the guided meditation “Habits for Restful Sleep” program, however, all of the audio guides automatically quit out after a minute or so of playing. This is really annoying and beats the purpose of having a guided audio meditation in the first place.
I’ve tried restarting the app, my phone, and resetting my router and internet. My internet connection is just fine according to diagnosis app I ran.
Is anybody else having this problem, and is this related to the recent iOS update by any chance?

Same with my iPhone 8 and latest iOS. The sleep music stops as soon as the screen turns off. Tonight, it was just as I was falling asleep! Now I am wide awake and not very happy.
I also am on the 7 day free trial so will not continue with Premium after that. This seems like a really basic problem that Fitbit should have fixed by now.

@SilviaFitbit thank you replying however a solution is needed! Restarting the app won’t change how the mediations are encoded as videos which won’t continue playing when the screen sleeps !
On the whole the Premium experience is not great and the sleep insights aside (which really really should NOT be being charged for -it’s Fitbit’s trump card over other devices), not especially useful or good value. The whole thing looks half finished.
And these meditations just don’t work in any useable way.

I concur. It is an encoding issue. This needs to be resolved.
Thanks.

Meditations for example "breathing Meditation" in the Habits for Restful Sleep guided program still freeze up when phone screen sleeps.
I noticed in the general Mindfulness section there's a load of new sessions from Ten Percent Happier. These are all audios coded as videos so stop if the screen is turned off.
Crazy

Having the same issue but with the sleep music in the relaxation tools. Gets to about 30 seconds and pauses.

Im having the same issues... just nodding off to sleep listening to the sound of water with a few bings and bings thrown in, then nothing ...silence...then my mind starts to kick in, then I winder if it’s just a quiet period in the sound byte... then I am wid Ed awake and spend the next 5 minutes trying to get this to work.
Then I’m wide awake, scrolling through the internet to find a solution... and find there isn’t one... YET!
C’mon Fitbit... I signed up to Premium as I thought it would help with my (lack of) sleep... so far it’s not doing what it should do...
Please throw more resource at this issue!

Looks like everyone is having the same issue. It really stinks that all these issues are happening after the new IOS update. I really liked the sleep tools but it’s so frustrating when you get all settled down ready for sleep and the music stops after a few seconds. What’s wrong with your technical team?? This isn’t rocket science. I’m canceling my Premium subscription also. What a disappointment. 😖

I found the fix!!!! Just tested it and it works!!! You need to turn your “auto lock” off and to never. The guided programs and sleep sounds play uninterrupted!!! Thank goodness!! ❤️❤️

Hi,
yes, it was mentioned somewhere earlier in the thread about turning auto lock off... but this is just a work around, not a fix. All you are doing is moving the challenge to another area. The fix needs to happen within the native program/app, so that it doesn't affect any other areas of your device.
I really don't want to have to keep switching my auto lock (a very important security feature), off and back on... because the day I forget, will be the day my device goes missing...🙄

My Premium trial runs out today. This is just one of many reasons I won’t be subscribing.

@SilviaFitbit when is this getting fixed? I paid for one month of premium and I'm pretty upset about this. I am absolutely cancelling next month if it's not resolved soon. Luckily I am an Android user so as the mediations play the screen will stay on BUT then my screen is on all night as I've fallen asleep! The brightness bothers me as well. I just want to be able to lock my screen and listen, every other app on my device can do it, why not Fitbit?

it works in case if i rub the phone screen not to make it sleep only.

I have the same issue on my new iPad and my Google pixel 3xl.
Fitbit really needs to hire some better programmers and app developers. To many bugs all around anymore.
