Hello there @Gomarlz, welcome to the Fitbit Community!

I'm truly happy to see you're back with the Fitbit family! Let me try to make your experience easier.

First, you'll need to check if you have any active subscriptions on your account. A new free trial cannot be activated while a current subscription is still active. Once you have double-checked that, here’s what you need to do:

  • In the Fitbit app, tap the You tab, and tap Try Fitbit Premium

  • Choose a 1-year or monthly subscription to start after your trial, and press on the option that sais "Try Fitbit Premium"

  • Once you press on the "Try Fitbit Premium" button, you will see the following screen

So in this case, if you tap the blue "Subscribe" button, you will get Fitbit Premium for free for six months. If you don't cancel by December 14, 2025, your card will be automatically charged $79.99 for the following year.

Hello,

I just purchased a Charge 6 and I too am having issues trying to activate the free trial. I am using the Fitbit App on my iPhone and I did have a subscription at one time for Premium but it expired in January 1, 2025.

However, when I go to get Premium is it trying to charge me the $79.99 or $9.99 instead of giving me the 6 months free. Any suggestions? Apple was no help at all.

Hey there @shawnluke, nice to see new members around.

Please take a close look at this picture. As you can see, you will first get the 6-month free trial, and the annual or monthly fee will be activated afterwards.

Thank you for sharing the photo however, mine doesn’t have the six months above the $79.99. Here is a look at what I see.

Thanks @shawnluke for sharing the screen shot!

Just to make sure, have you by any chance removed the device from your account?

Keep in mind that you must keep the device on your account. If it isn't set up, the app will not give you the option to get the free trial.

Hello,

Yes I have made sure the device is still active on this account. I reached out to Apple and they are telling me that because I previously activated a trial membership that I can no longer activate another one. As you can see from this screenshot I previously had a membership but it is in the "Inactive" section and shows it expired January 1. IMG_0960.jpg
