Accounting steps vs walking

If your Fitbit is set up to automatically count "WALKING" activity, do those steps record separately or are they included in your daily step count.

If they are already included in your daily step count, isn't it double counting to have them show up as an additional activity???

Your question isnt really clear. Can you be more specfic?

But the only way it will count extra steps is if you manually log and activity after doing the activity itself

@BunnyHop - As far as I can tell the device is logging the steps and calories burned as you walk. If it (or the servers) detect an increased level of activity for a certain time period it will log it as an exercise. It doesn't add any extra steps or calories though.

You can pull up the exercise and see what 'Impact" it had on your total steps and calories for the day. Hope that makes sense 🙂
