Can I edit calories and active minutes for a bike ride?

I have a Fitbit Surge. Yesterday on my bike ride my Surge didn't record any hear rate activity. I had to restart it to get working again, but that left my ride activity with no active minutes and a small fraction of the calories burned. Is there a way to edit this information? I'm not as concerned with the heart rate info because I know there's no way to recover this. However, it would be nice to have a better estimate of my calories burned and active minutes. I like to keep a log of my progress for many reasons. Thank you.

Welcome aboard @GJKuhn! Have you tried manually logging this activity for that specific time? By doing this, you will be able to get your calorie burn amount and active minutes.

In regard to the heart rate not registering, have you checked if when you are riding your bike, the tracker moves its position on your wrist? Remember that if you are wearing your tracker too tight or too loose on your arm this can prevent the tracker from registering your HR. Check this article if you have any questions about this.

Any other questions, let me know.

Thank you very much. I added a manually logged record of this bike ride and
it logged the active minutes as well as a more reasonable number of
calories burned. I'm not thrilled with having this bike ride needing to be
recorded twice, but I don't want to delete the activity with the gps and
other information that my Fitbit Surge did record. This certainly does help
though.

About the heart rate not registering, it wasn't due to positioning. I tried
several times during my ride to reposition and otherwise adjust my Surge
during the ride to no avail. It was displaying a constant and unchanging
137 bpm from early in the ride through the end. When I stopped and took it
off at one point I noticed that the green lights weren't on or flashing at
all. I didn't want to remain stopped long enough to restart it during the
ride and totally lose my momentum, so I restarted it once I returned home
and the heart rate monitor began functioning normally from that point.

I guess the only remaining question is, Is there any way to restart the
flashing green lights of the heart rate monitoring without needing to
totally restart my Surge? I'm guessing the answer is no.

Thank you very much for your response. Like I said, it does help even
though it's not pretty. (I'm not pretty either though, so it'll do.)

I appreciate your reply @GJKuhn. To answer your question, the only restart you can do is the complete restart of the tracker, however, if you experience this situation again, my best recommendation is for you to contact customer support so they can help you out with this.

Keep me posted!
