Fitbit Charge and alta defective clasps

My Fitbit Charge came off several times and I was able to find it.  Unfortunately, while visiting my grandchildren I was not so lucky, it came off and we were unable to locate it.  My three daughters have the Fitbit ALTA and 2 of the three have had theirs fall off and have been unable to find them.  After looking on the internet and the Fitbit forum I have read their was obviously a defect in the clasp and its design has now been changed.  Unfortunately, since ours were all out of warranty there is no replacement.  They did offer 25% off the purchase of a new Fitbit...

 

Make sure if you are going to loose your Fitbit you do so in the first year!
