Fitbit wont record distance on runs

I got a fitbit charge 2 recently but when I start tracking a run, it doesn't record the full distance.  The steps update and the distance is correct on the dashboard, but on the actual map and exercise tracking, it doesn't show the full distance.  Not sure why this keeps happening.  I'm disappointed as I bought the watch to record my runs more effectively but so far it's been useless.

  • What exactly is going on? How can you tell that the distance is not correct?
  • Could you take some screen shots showing what you mean?
