How to edit a food I didn't create

I was wondering if there is any way to edit the information for food items I didn't create. I have had a few experiences where I scanned the barcode for an item and the correct item came up, but some of the information was wrong. For example, when I scan Chobani yogurt, the number of calories is almost always off. The particular issue that's been really bugging me lately is a simple typo: when I scan my "Just Picked" frozen berries, the nutritional information is correct, but the food database says my berries are "Just Pickled"...

Thanks for your help!

@jchamp336 Welcome to the Community! You can edit a food that's in the food database by doing the following:

Go to your Dashboard > click on log

Choose the food that you already logged > click on it

Click on customize this food > finally click on save.

See the screenshot below.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

HI

For some reason I used to be able to create and edit food but now I'm getting a message that I cannot edit or create food - why is this?

Many thanks

Dan

Me too!  Any response??

"You are not allowed to create/edit food"

The food log is a LOT less useful without this ability!

Thanks for the reply.
I wasn't trying to edit a food, I was trying to enter one.  In this case a recipe for muffins.
I tried again this morning by creating a meal; tedious, but it worked.

@bgreenfl Thanks for getting back.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to enter your muffins recipe by creating a meal. Also, Fitbit offers third-party integrations, which you could link to Fitbit and then enjoy the information that will sync between the two, check the list here

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
