MY Fitbit won't sync on to the dashboard. I can't record how many steps I've taken.

That sounds quite frustrating. In this case I'd recommend that you try to restart your Fitbit One and then try to do the syncing process once again. If that doesn't work, try to setup your Fitbit as a new device by selecting the 'Setup A New Device'.
