Why can't I erase an error???

I can't imagine the logic behind this decision. The engineers and designers do not want users (customers) to be able to edit any data. If I make a mistake in a log entry, it is permanent -- for the life of my account. I spent 30minutes on the telephoe with customer 'support', who confirmed that it is not possible to delete or edit any logged data. Why on God's green earth would any designer think that this is a good idea? This seems to be a problem throughout the dashboard.

This morning I made a typo when I entered my weight. Then I entered the correct weight. The dashboard tells me that I lost five pounds in one hour! I am unable to erase the incorrect weight. There is an X next to it, but the erased weight returns as soon as I refresh. Ditto the dates. Old calorie counts and activities do not even have an X.

This seems idiotic. I want a refund.
