I have not found a sufficient answer on this topic so I am making my own inquiry.
In mid-December my app on android prompted me to update the app. I did so and have been unable to use my tracker ever since. I have tried everything suggested by Fitbit and community users, including hard reboot paperclip trick and pretending its a new tracker. My fitbit (actually 2 trackers because I thought maybe it was the tracker) holds the charge. My app shows my battery levels. However, I've had 0 steps since the update on the software. At first it was just glitchy, sometimes it would record for a day or two, but now it just cannot find the device or, stranger still, I will get a message that Fitbit has refused to connect.
Has Fitbit decided to no longer support this product? Is it a glitch they are "aware of and working on" My tracker is what kept me accountable and rewarded for activity as a result I am no longer trying.
If someone has any real answers I would like to know. I feel like Fitbit should give me a replacement at this point!
