Every single time I try to add a friend it says Failed to send friend request and I don't know why and I can add anyone

I am having the same issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I tried from my laptop instead of my phone, thinking maybe it was something with being on mobile. Nope. I have shut my phone off and turned it back on. No change. I'm frustrated.
