Flex 2 modification

I love my flex 2 because I can wear it on my ankle and it's waterproof so I leave it on all the time (except when the battery is charging).  I would like to see some of the other models made to be worn on the ankle.  Most of these devices are worn on the arm and only record your steps WHEN YOU ARE MOVING YOUR ARMS.  I push a wheelchair for my spouse daily and so, unless I wear it on my ankle, all my steps pushing his wheelchair are NOT RECORDED.  Also, when pushing a cart in the store they aren't recorded.  It would sure be nice to have a model that was waterproof, could be worn on the ankle and had a heart monitor feature on it.  Would sure love to see that!  Thanks.

Hi @cdsommer - Here are a couple ideas for you:

  1. You can purchase Fitbit band extenders from third party sellers, like Amazon that will fit several of the Fitbit devices. I use An expander occasionally myself. This will skew your heart rate info, though.
  2. Or, if you’re not concerned about heart rate, it might be better for you to purchase the non-HR version. You can wear it with the watch band or keep it in a pocket. You can even order the clip to keep it more secure in a pocket or undergarment.
