Hi
Flex 2
Points corroded
Doesn't vibrate when placed on charger.
The lights comes one suggesting it is charging successfully, but moments after I take it off (apparently fully charged) all lights flash together repeatedly for a few seconds, then the devices becomes unresponsive.
Tried the assorted troubleshooting steps regarding cleaning the points, restarting the device, changing USB ports etc, to no avail. I have even placed an elastic band around the flex while charging to hold it fast against the charge points.
This is appears to be a discontinued product, but surprised at the number of posts and threads regarding corrosion on this and other Fitbit products !
It wasn't a slow decline or gradual deterioration of the battery life one would associate with the lifespan of rechargeable batteries. It was as a fitbit admin can observe from my profile, working and syncing up to yesterday. Then suddenly not, today.
If this is an inherent design flaw and as such not subject to the limitation of a warranty that would pertain to normal wear and tear, are fitbit planning to repair/replace defective products?

@BazMcD I'm sorry that no one answered sooner. This is a user to user site, but this forum is isn't followed by moderators. Corrosion on the charging points is known to happen with many brands of devices. Fitbit recommends cleaning the charging ports with alcohol and a soft toothbrush to keep them clean. Cleaning your contacts might help. The Flex 2 has been discontinued since 2019. All rechargeable batteries have a lifespan (3-5 years). Some users of all brands of devices, not just Fitbits, see a gradual decline and some don't. If cleaning the contacts doesn't help, I believe your battery is at its end of life.
