I am new to fit bit. I bought it almost 3 months ago and I really like it. However, the amount of time that I have spent trying to lose weight has been far longer than 3 months. Don't get me wrong, I'm really good at losing weight. I am fortunate enough to not have any health issues. My problem is maintaining the weight I've lost. And at 27 years old, I'm starting to realize that I lose and maintain weight loss better when I focus on doing or not doing certain things.
For example, eating healthy is more of a problem for me than excercising. So that's what I focus on. In the past 3 months, I have been obsessed with sunflower seeds and sweet tea. I have a desk job which would allow me to eat them all day long. Eliminating my obsession with these two things was the start to maintaining my weight loss. So far.
1. Sunflower seeds and sweet tea.
2. Getting rid of the "AND" (No more burgers "and" fries. Pick one or the other.)
3. Salads: Eat a salad every day. Preferably during lunch.
I'm not sure if there is a such thing as mastering these goals, but just trying to achieve them every day is giving me weight loss results.
So what changes are you making in your life to help you lose weight?

Changing food habits.. loosing weight.. gives a different perspective on food. Not eating to eat when the body doesn't need anything yet when not having appetite / not feeling hungry yet.. or when feeling needing to force feed the body.. better wait until it's ready for nourishment and listening when having enough.
Brings back more and more in tune with the bodies signals, regaining trust.
Eating healthier overall being at a healthy weight for no clue how long now, once in a while having a little treat if the craving is there and can't stop thinking about.. like a small of chocolate. Afterwards when being hungry or having appetite choosing back something healthier.
Not logging food anymore since about new year, though using the scale once in a while to keep in check, with the new food habits having trust in the body where it wants to be.. let go of the scale since a few months ago..
Though the fitbit reminds of choosing healthier foods overall and taking care of the body every day, being healthier.
Admit letting go of the scale was scary..
